In this show, we hear from John Corcoran, “the teacher who couldn’t read”. We hear his story and get a great sense about the passion that, for over five decades, has driven his efforts for greater literacy. John speaks about his campaign for effective, evidence-based literacy instruction and the need to make system-based changes that will result in many more children learning to read. John is currently working with award-winning director, Nick Nanton, to produce a new literacy documentary. LISTEN 27:53
