Free professional development workshops
for Adult Basic Education teachers, program administrators, and counselors of
adult literacy programs across Massachusetts.
First Literacy workshops provide free
quality training on evidence-based, best-practice techniques and materials for
adult literacy professionals.
What makes First
Literacy’s professional development unique?
Our workshop content is open to
participant input at registration, so we can respond to the needs of adult
basic education programs as they arise.
Topics are not limited to public
funding mandates or temporary trends.
Most workshops consist of two sessions
with follow-up discussion and intra-session results feedback facilitated by
ABE/ESOL professionals.
